Daptiv Achieves 42% YoY Increase in New Business Bookings to Date Fueled by Strong Demand for SaaS-based PPM Solutions

SEATTLE, WA – July 11, 2012: Daptiv, the on-demand leader in project portfolio management software, today announced that new customer bookings for the first half of 2012 were up 42 percent compared to the same period last year, and to meet growing demand Daptiv is actively recruiting for positions in software development, sales, support and professional services. Building on this momentum, Gartner, Inc. positioned Daptiv as a “Leader” in the Gartner PPM Magic Quadrant for Cloud-Based Project and Portfolio Management Services,”1 a new research report covering PPM Software-as-a-Service applications.

While other industries struggle, Daptiv has experienced unprecedented demand for its SaaS-based PPM solutions based on the simplicity and affordability of the software. In the second quarter AMC Networks, Charter Manufacturing, Pivotal Payments, Seibels Services Group, Inc., WhiteWave Foods and World Kitchen were a few of the new clients that selected Daptiv PPM to manage their project portfolios. These organizations join thousands of subscribers worldwide that use Daptiv’s software in industry verticals ranging from healthcare to education, technology and financial services, among others.

Globally, Daptiv announced the opening of a data center located in The Netherlands to accommodate customer demand in Europe. The first customer of the new data center will be the Telecom and Integrated Applications (TIA) directorate of the European Space Agency (ESA), which recently expanded its Daptiv PPM subscription. Daptiv also bolstered its presence in the United Kingdom, opening an office in West London’s Holborn area. Mark Dallimore, who has worked exclusively in the PPM software sector for the last seven years, will oversee operations for the office.

In addition to securing traction on the customer front, in June analyst firm Gartner, Inc. positioned Daptiv in the Leaders quadrant of the “Magic Quadrant for Cloud-Based Project and Portfolio Management Services,” a research report covering PPM Software-as-a-Service applications. Gartner weighted Daptiv’s ranking based on its market understanding, sales and marketing strategy, and product innovation. The company received high marks based on its PPM software platform, customer experience, market responsiveness and overall track record. Similarly, the Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA) CODiE Awards named Daptiv as a finalist in the ‘Best Project Management Solution in Business Software’ category. Finalists for Best Project Management Solution represent the best business applications that automate the management of project-based business activities.

“Organizations remain under pressure to connect projects and resources with broader strategic business initiatives, and to do so while keeping costs and risks to a minimum. We are fortunate to be in a position where our software can mitigate the expense and risk involved with project portfolios of all sizes. In return, the success we’ve achieved over the past six months through customer growth, international expansion and industry recognition validates the alignment between what we are building, and what the market needs,” said John Baldwin, CEO of Daptiv.
